Military Appreciation Monday

The 2008 Military Appreciation Monday dinner will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 5 pm to 9 pm in all Golden Corral Restaurants.

To date, Golden Corral restaurants have provided over 1.8 million free meals and contributed over $2.53 million to the Disabled American Veterans organization.

National Memorial Day Concert Highlights

On May 25, 2008 at 8 p.m., Golden Corral co-sponsored with the DAV, a live PBS broadcast from Washington, D.C., the multi-award winning National Memorial Day Concert. Co-hosted by acclaimed actor Gary Sinise, the concert was the premier memorial service for the United States military, honoring those who have given their lives, the wounded, and their families.

Military Support and Holiday Greetings Post Cards – 50,000 Delivered to Operation Thank You

Golden Corral restaurant management teams and their guests have written over 50,000 Holiday Greetings for our troops serving overseas. The post cards were delivered to “Operation Thank You” in Columbia, South Carolina for shipping overseas prior to the Holidays.

A Celebration to Honor the Military Troops of North Carolina
Held April 26, 2008 – Downtown Raleigh

The event was designed to show the troops of North Carolina how much the people of the state appreciate all that they do and the sacrifices that they (and their families) make.

Golden Corral Corporation was delighted to participate in the “Salute to our Troops."

Dedicated service is one of the values that have built Golden Corral from a single Fayetteville restaurant in 1973 to one of North Carolina's favorite family buffets. It is with great pride that we bring that same dedicated service to this event that honors service men and women from North Carolina and want to thank them and their families for the sacrifice that they have made for our state and for our country.

Golden Corral restaurants have previously stepped up to the challenge with their Military Appreciation Monday program, held yearly in November to offer a free ‘thank you’ dinner to any person who has ever served in the United States Military (both past and present).
